When do we remove Halloween Links?
Most of the merchants I represent have moved on from Halloween, but I'm still - even today - getting lots of sales for Halloween stuff.

When is everyone removing their Halloween links?

Been away, now I'm back. Not as much, but I'm back & starting from scratch. Where I was, was fantastic. Where I am now, less so. Things have changed, become harder. So have I. Game ON!!!

They stay up all year. The sites are orange and and optimized for Halloween search terms. Sales are just kinda slow from about December to early September though.

Ditto with popdawg and chocolate chicken. Since I have Halloween as a section on a site, I leave it up with the exception of any that 'break' after the holiday, which is usually not an issue. It works wonders. That section is kicking a$$ on Halloween sales since the end of August. By next Halloween I should ba able to retire (NOT). But it's a nice thought...

I have a Halloween section that does of course stay up permanently - I was asking about the main page with the "current" banners telling people what's hot now

    Billy Kay,

Don't even fret about it. I'll send you one of my banners to replace yours and they will dinamically change with the season.

Oh! Well, if it were me, I would give it until Monday or Tuesday. Get as much mileage as possible.

What Ssanf said, when the sales stop. Now is a good time to push expedited shipping or anything that says you can still buy halloween stuff and get if before halloween.

Don't ever remove any links that you are getting sales from - it doesn't matter what time of the year it is.

You might get sales from people looking for after halloween bargains to use next year.

People do the same thing at Christmas.

I would pull Halloween "what's hot" banners by October 25. Not many people will be looking for or buying Halloween merchandise after that date until next year. Time to decorate for Christmas and holiday shoppers ...

Well, costumes are flying off the shelves, now.

Why do they wait until the las minute?

Funny thing. I am STILL selling costumes and those links are beating the other stuff for click throughs.

    Who would of thunk it?

    Hi Billy,

You may as well do what your local drugstore has done and replace every thing Halloweeny with X-mas before you can say Santa!
