    $493.75 Sale from Zappos
Is this more likely to be an invalid sale ?
Do Zappos Affiliates get this amount of normal sales?

It's not an unusual sale amount for them.

I wouldn't be surprised if it sticks, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets reversed.

Some people can afford to toss out $500 just as easily as you or I could hand our kids a quarter for the gumball machine.

It could very well be 5 pairs of boots for all we know.

I get a a handful of sales about that a month and they almost always get partly reversed. I think it may be people buying a FEW pairs of shoes, and since the shipping is free, they pick one or two pairs that feel best and return the rest... makes sense no?

I've had a few sales in this price range. They all stuck. It's not too hard to imagine since women love shoes, and some of the shoes on there are a couple hundred a pair. A nice handbag and pair of shoes for the holiday season....seems reasonable to me. *shrugs* I guess you'll see soon enough though.

My experience with Zappos has been that a huge percentage of their sales are reversed. Shoppers are given an incentive to place large orders because of their Free Shipping and Free Return Shipping policy. I image that there are folks who order more than one size for the shoe they want, so that they can try them on for the best fit.

I've had sales that size and larger with Zappos. Some got completely reversed, some were partially reversed and others stuck. I've had a couple of Zappos sales where the commission was almost that much and they stuck.

With the free return policy, some people buy the shoes they want in several sizes and return the rest. I don't promote them much anymore, because of all the reversals.

If people couldn't afford to buy $500 shoes, the shops couldn't afford to keep on making them. Word.

They definitely have high reversal rates, but have had some Zappos sales of over $1,500 stick and been averaging about $300 per order lately. Zappos sales should be really strong for the next few months, of course returns will be too

what may happen... they will declare it as an "Invalid Credit Card" order in which you won't get anything.... that is what pretty much happens to me on single sale transactions over $150.00... it sucks..!

I have spent $500 on a bunch of shoes at one time quiet often. And, when my husband has bought dress shoes he might buy more than one pair at a time as well and that could easily be $300. But in any case, I agree that quite often people buy more than one pair of the same shoe to try on and then return the ones that don't fit. Then again, it is definitely quite possible to be someone buying a few pair of shoes.

Also, knee high boots are quite popular right now and based on personal experience, they are not cheap..so you never know. You can just email the AM to find out for sure what it was.

    Good luck, hope it sticks.

    not unusual
that could easily be 2-3 pairs of expensive shoes - some people might also take advantage of free shipping + return shipping and order a few pairs and return the shoes that dont fit

I will just drop that merchant who reverses the sale after the commission is paid to me. Maybe CJ allow it, But I don't. I have also talked with my top performing merchants about this matter, and they agree that they will not reverse the transaction after the commission is paid.

About 3% of my sales come from zappos, last month I had 21 sales from zappos, this amount is really small as compared to the other shoe merchant I promote, and they will not reverse sale after payment, if zappos reverses a sale after payment, then I will have no choice except changing links.
