Just noticed this:

auctions.yahoo.com -> takes you to Yahoo! Auctions.
cn.auctions.yahoo.com -> takes you to Yahoo! Auctions (China)
However,
auctions.yahoo.com.au (and au.auctions.yahoo.com)-> takes you to eBay Australia?

So I checked the headers that are being sent and...

#1 Server Response: http://auctions.yahoo.com.au/
HTTP Status Code: HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
Redirect Target: http://au.commerce.yahoo.com/sold

#2 Server Response: http://au.commerce.yahoo.com/sold
HTTP Status Code: HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
Redirect Target: http://www.ebay.com.au/

#3 Server Response: http://www.ebay.com.au/
HTTP Status Code: HTTP/1.0 200 OK

So... au.commerce.yahoo.com/sold goes to eBay Australia. Does this make Yahoo somewhat of an 'affiliate' of eBay? I'm finding this redirect quite interesting. Have I missed any recent (or old, for that matter) news?
