    World Series: CHICAGO!!!
Was that not a fantastic world series?? Was it not truly a hard-core, throw-it-down battle from Game 1? The Astros were the only ones who could lay it down, but...

    GO SOX!!!

And God bless 'em for seeing Chicago as a city united!!!

Chicago should say thank you to the yankees for giving up two great pitchers which the sox aquired.

I heard FOX is pissed at the yankees and red sox though. Because the ratings suck when they aren't in the series.

Most certainly...after 87 years, we all got the chemistry right.

Many thanks, Yanks. And when you're in town, we'll treat you right. Sho' nuff.

Okay, all said, the White Sox had Big Ol Heart. That's what pushed them over the edge. I wish you could see how the city answered. We got buildings lit up for them, it means so much!! All our big skyscrapers turned on/off their office window lights to read "SOX!" I've been in this city for maybe 8 years, and it's the first time I've seen north/south side united. It's beautiful, man. Beautiful.

    Bring it.

But with all that swagger in check, there was no other team out there that could've checked, but for the Astros. Damn, y'all gave us a run for our money!!

I get sick of seeing the yanks in the series. Except I like to root against them. Chicago & Houston are the 3rd and 4th largest US cities so there shouldnt be any crying about a 'small market' series. My home team (rockies) will probly NEVER get there....

Well Fox's announcers clearly hate the Red Sox in particular.

That and in Eastern Asia. I was hoping they'd televise or at least do something to bring it to my attention, but it just flew by unnoticed. I think once the their Taiwanese, Yankee pitcher was beat by the Angels they stopped caring here.

Ooooops, sorry, forgot you were in Asia. I used to live in Europe and we never knew what was going on in US sports, either.

The Sox - the ultimate blue collar, south-side team!

I watched much of the sox in the playoffs (very unusual for me to watch that much baseball). My father-in-law grew up on the south side and I have family there as well. Chicago is my runner-up sports city.

This really has to be burning up die-hard Cubs fans!

The next time the white sox will be world series champions again

    2005+88= 2093

By then the red sox will win a series in 2092

the yankees will add 23 more to their list of series won

The deepest part of the outfield will be 520 feet

That is great to hear... the last time Detroit won the Series (1984) the city burned and a taxi cab was flipped over.

Congrats to the Sox. My two least favorite teams are the Sox and the Yankees.
I pulled for Houston and watched every pitch of this series, but the Astros got outplayed. It's just that simple. As much as I hate to see the Sox win, they were the better team.

On a side note, Bud Selig's decision to force the Astros to open the roof on their stadium when leaving it closed would have increased their home-field advantage should cost him his job. The configuration of the roof at a given field should be left up to the home team and Bud Selig has no business sticking his big fat nose in the middle of it. I think his wife should wear a catcher's mask to bed because she looks like Freddie Kruger, but who am I to tell her what to do.

    Great stuff, White Sox!

Hey, I'm glad that the Red Sox and Yankees were not involved - it's get's really old after a while (and I'm from Boston!).

I was rooting for Chicago all the way!

    Congrats to the White Sox!!

Guillen may be a nut as a person, but he is one hell of a manager. Too bad we couldn't see 'the Rocket' on the hill one last time.
