What Hosting Affiliate Program is Better?
Continuing the topic started in the Hosting Providers You Promote thread, I would like to initiate a poll on the web hosting providers that we all promote.

I've hand-picked 26 hosts that seem to have the more popular affiliate programs (of course, the list is not complete, but still)... Would you please vote for the programs that are worth promoting (from your experience)? I'd suggest everyone picks 5 from the list above. Of course, you may vote for more, if you wish.

IMPORTANT: You may vote for multiple entrants, but all at once. Meaning, you have to tick all of the ones you're voting for first and then click "Vote".

    Thanks,

    Geno

    Geno,

    Just so you know
ProLogic is the name of StartLogic.com's hosting package. It isn't an actual company.
Dot5, Ipowerweb, Ipage, Ipowerweb and Startlogic are all parts of Ipowerweb.com.
WildWildWest isn't really an affiliate program more of a reseller type of gig.

Otherwise, good idea I am very interested in seeing where this leads ;-]

Dan, I think that's totally okay. It's your program, you love it, you'd promote it and recommend promoting it. Otherwise, you would've not been here. That's totally fine.

BTW, I am still looking forward to those e-mails you need translated.

LOL -- A good nudge sometimes helps, I forgot all about them! Can you shoot
me a reminder so I don't have to dig through past mail and I'll get them together
    for you this weekend ;-]

I guess, I should've consulted with you before I started this, Dan.

Just asked MichaelColey to help me with this (as I cannot modify the poll; only a moderator can), deleting ProLogic, Dot5, Ipage and StartLogic from the list. Don't know why you've mentioned Ipowerweb three times here: "Dot5, Ipowerweb, Ipage, Ipowerweb and Startlogic are all parts of Ipowerweb.com" You must love them, huh?!

I need to start reading what I type!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Boo, bad dan!

I emailed you -- its cool to list them separatly though, the yARE separate
brands of iPowerWeb. StartLogic specifically IS run out of a separate office,
but the owners are the same (they also are listed on the same line on a lot
of sites.) Ipage and dot5 are simply different skins of ipw thou from what I
    understand.

    Nothing against IPW thou ;-]

Sounds like IPW is a very serious competitor of yours. Very active.

I think one of Dan's "ipowerweb"'s might have been supposed to be "ipower.com", which is not in your list, but which is another reskinning of ipowerweb.

Also, I can find no sign of an affiliate (as compared to reseller) program for PlugHost or west220. Of course, reselling is a viable business as well, so that's cool.

There's a reason army's wear uniforms even though it makes them easier to spot. Sometimes that's what you want. Uniforms suggest organization, power, and numbers. These, in turn, inspire fear. And, as any good operative knows, there is no more effective weapon than fear.

iPowerweb definitely has my vote. As far as Globat is concerned, I'm really surprized to see the percentage of votes they are getting considering their high reversal rate! In fact, I just booted them off my site - good riddance.

It is too early to speak of the "percentage of votes", Grumpy. There maximum number of votes that any host has got here so far is 2 (two) votes.

Hey, of course, I obviously think that our program is pretty cool. I'm curious to see where this goes as well. Obviously, if my vote interferes, please feel free to remove it.

Scott, at this stage, nothing interfers between you and Dan [the two programs that are leading so far; I only wonder why I am the only one that voted for Lunarpages]. He voted for his program too. So Globat's one vote ahead.

Really looking forward to more votes! Remember that you may vote for several hosts at the same time (but you have to do it all at once; that is - tick 'em all and then click "Vote")!

    Kid down the street
I am sort of a "host with the kid down the street" sort of guy. Doing business with the local web hosts can often help you build links and contacts in the community.

Since we all live in different places, we would probably all end up with different hosts.

Hmmmm... I though, the whole 'coolness' of the affiliate marketing is that you can promote a company from Cyprus, living in Iceland or vica versa...

Haven't checked this for a while (over a month)... Looks like midPhase has won this one. Congrats, Dan!
