Has anyone succeeded in getting more than 50p ($0.86) out of them?

Over the course of a year, leads (i.e, the "Click and Collect" 50p) outnumber sales by 6.5:1. That figure holds true (suspiciously so) for the past 3 months as well.

I suspected as much - there's nothing abnormal about the traffic I send them...

I suspect the problem is the business model - the "click and collect" thing is obviously quite popular.

Mind you the standard commission rate is only 2%, so you actually make MORE with the 50p lead than the commission rate for a sale of 25 or under.

Amazon.co.uk is a good substitute for a lot of the Argos products IMO.

I tried experimenting with amazon.com/.co.uk once but as I recall their cookie expires after just 24 hours. Is that still the case?

A friend of mine in the UK placed an order with Argos from her own site about 3 weeks ago, and it has never tracked. Guess that should tell you something.

I think not even that.. it's session based. But the plus side is that most customers buy several items at once, usually to qualify for free shipping. I tend to find Amazon is pretty competitive in terms of EPC.
