Shareasale doesnt have too many high paying CPA merchants... AffiliateFuel has a ton, and at very good pay. The only thing is, don't let the big CPA merchants entice you by such a high payout... they are high for a reason. They aren't always the easiest to convert, especially for things like credit cards, insurance, mortgage, etc. and expect to high a very high CPC for those types of merchants if you plan on promoting them via PPC.

Define CPA network. I think people have different definitions of what that is. Some say CPA networks are different that Affiliate networks. Some say they're they same. Performics and Shareasale are affiliate networks to me. I guess they're CPA too. But i use Performics, Shareasale, LinkShare, CJ, BeFree, Websponsors, AffiliateFuel and a whole bunch of indys and some of those indy's kind of have their own network of merchants.

Smart merchants Merchants that take it upon themselves to run their own programs. Some examples would be Amazon, Emerchandise, Calendars.com etc. They either use their own inhouse solution to run the affiliate program or something like a MYAP software or the many other ones out there.

An independant merchant. In other words, you dont need to join a network to become their affiliate, they will have their own system in place.

When you say "CPA" do you mean "CPC" or what kind of "action" do you imply (or: are looking for)?

There are plenty of CPA merchants, and plenty of pay per sale merchants. Sometimes a merchant may be pay per sale but still classify themselves as CPA. For instance, many web-hosting merchants will offer X dollars per sale (X being the same dollar amount regardless of how small or how big the sale is).

What market are you looking into for CPA merchants? I may know of some networks that can accomodate your needs.

Also, what Geno was asking, there can be many types of "actions" (per sign-up, per lead, per sale, etc.). Which are you specifically thinking of?

we work with a few other networks along with ourselves...and I myself am a big fan of azoogle and adteractive. Those may be worth your while to check out for cost-per-lead offers.

AffiliateFuel has some good CPL merchants, try AzoogleAds as well. I hear they have some good ones (although I dont have an account with them so I can't be certain).

It also depends on what you are promoting. You can get much better payouts for certain CPL merchants depending on what market you are going with. For instance, you can find niche sites like search4clicks.com which are ONLY education related merchats on a CPL basis. The payouts are much higher through them than through a broad network such as CJ, just because they screen their users and can justify a higher quality of leads because they are a niche.

Are you just looking to get into CPL advertising in general, or are you looking for CPL in a specific category?

What type of CPL offers are you looking for? For what audience? Obviously I'm biased to our network to grab CPL offers...(duh.) But to be objective, Like I said...Azoogle has tons...payouts vary. The Useful has a lot with good payouts...

Like he said above, depends on your market. I've worked with every merchant/network imaginable or have affiliates who have, and could give you some more targeted suggestions, knowing your market.
