(2005) PRweb backlinks w/ anchor text
Has anyone here submitted a press release to PRweb.com that contains backlinks with anchor text? Did you know you can do that? Pretty cool, huh. Here's an example; http://prweb.com/releases/2005/11/prweb306067.htm. I talked to a guy at PRweb who tells me they offer the service unofficially for $200 per press release or there are people who have figured out how to do it themselves at the $80 self-serve level.

I've got a couple of press releases I'd like to get out. Does someone here know how to get the job done self-serve?

    Hi Frank,

Absolutely! In fact, I put together a site dedicated to online PR and PRWeb mastery, and can also send you some case studies (including one for Kareem Abdul Jabbar we did a short time ago).

Let me know, and visit www.prwebquickstart.com for the site and for your answer, click the "3" in the box, and you'll have it all.

I use PRWeb.com to drive from 250-350 backlinks per release. I also "stack" releases so each successive one pulls additional traffic to the legacy releases.

Just make sure you have good content, and follow the PRWeb syntax on link structure. The rest is a breeze!

    Enjoy,

    Hi Mark,

    Welcome to ABW :-)

I noticed the exitpath/prwebdirect affiliate link, are you working with Mick on that?

    Regards,
    Tuan

    Hi Frank,

The direct link to start the process on a self-serve PR is at:
    http://www.prwebdirect.com/catalog.php

The one thing that was important to me, and not clearly documented, was the difference in reporting between the $119 and $350 level.

With the $119 you only get a traffic count and not a referrer/visitors break down.

I know it sounds bald, but is there any way to get the anchored feature for free?

BTW I tried to submit 'electric wheelchair' to Google, clicked about 4-5 pages, and did not find you. Is anchoring worth all the efforts then?

I found the site linked to in the press release in the OP on the second page of Google's results after searching for "electric wheelchairs" (no quotes)

    Found it too.

So, any comments on getting the anchor possibility for free? Would be very interested to learn about it.

Why aren't PRWeb disclosing this feature publically?
