    I wouldn't vote for him
    Sorry

NY State and NYC both need republicans to run it.

Thinking to the days democrats ran this state makes me shiver.

And Elliot is nothing more than a Head Liner.

Well hopefully he'll burn every BHO, and affiliate sheister, on his route to the NY Governors office. What voter doesn't want these computer hijackers off their systems. Now Hillory is used to sleezebags... she married one.

    Thumbs down
Spitzer, bah... Makes me glad I don't live in NY!

He may do some good vs. parasites, but 99% of the time I read something about him, it's because he's warping some law to fit his "ideals."

The idea of any one person trying to force others to live by their "ideals" strikes me as extremely bogus. His ideals should be no more important than anyone else's!

That's why he considers himself a Democrat. The elitist party.

    yeah, vote republican...
...'cause dubya's doing such a swell job.

if you're not rich, why do you keep voting against your own best middle-class interests?

do you actually look to see if these guys are ACTUALLY serving you or the billionaire boys club?

Why would YOU vote for a party that seems to think there's something wrong with being upper-class?! Which would forsake you the instant you made it big?

'cause dubya's doing such a swell job.
My local picks have nothing to do with Bush. Often the local-level legislature is off doing something totally different than the national-level politicos. I don't understand why people pick their local politicians (governor, state senators/representatives, and below) based on what they think of the national president! To me that's totally F'd up. Bush has nothing to do with the price of cigs in MI or whether a state freeway goes through. National-level senators and representatives, I can see the correlation (since they approve/disapprove presidential legislation attempts), but local? No.

Locally, Granholm (D. Gov., MI) has raised the cig tax out the wazoo, and the economy here is screwed, too (for those who aren't making their money online), so it's hardly in my best interest to keep that going.

    okay.
Michael: My father is no different than any powerful man, any man with power, like a president or senator.

Kay Adams: Do you know how naive you sound, Michael? Presidents and senators don't have men killed.

Michael: Oh. Who's being naive, Kay?

I was wondering why I don't see the political sub-section any longer. Too many fights over it, huh?

The political brawls in here are great entertainment but so hard to stay out of. I'm used to political "debates" in my family, half of whom are right wing corporate and the other half left wing "talent." Pretty heady stuff and only entertaining if one isn't involved in the fray.

I supopse if one wants to debate politics, there are plenty of political forums although it is always fun and entertaining to read what our peers are thinking and reacting to. While I don't think people intend to "change other people's minds" when they carry on about their political (or any other) beliefs, I also think it's a given that any political rant is designed to do just that. with intention or not.

So we all got gagged for our own benefit. :-) Good call, Haiko!
