My second choice if you can find them are the Condensed milk keylime pies. They weight in at 5lbs each... LOL.

I don't know why but I've never warmed up to apple pie. I can eat pumpkin pie if I have Cool Whip but what I really love is blueberry pie (too bad blueberries are out of season). I also love rhubarb pie - I have an awesome recipe. Yummy, yummy!!

    But nothin' beats cheese cake.

I'm the pie queen! With a little help from my buddies at Cook's Illustrated...

I made and froze a huge batch of homemade mincemeat last week, soaked in brandy, and can't wait for Christmas to start rolling those pies out. They look so pretty with their lattice tops.

    My other favorites? Definitely:

apple pie made with a mix of Cortland and Gala apples,
custard pie made from real vanilla beans, with a black bottom (melted chocolate)
plus my pear and almond tart

    Yummy!

If you've ever wanted to try making pies yourself, definitely check out the Cook's Illustrated recipes - their instructions and photos make it easy as pie.

I don't really eat pie. If I do, it's the French Silk pie from a place called Tippens.

However, when I got married (Feb. 14, 2004) I knew that I would have to learn how to make Chocolate Pie. It is my husband's favorite. His mother, my mother, and my grandmother all make it and he loves them all.

I had a special training session with my mom and learned how. We honeymooned in a cabin in the Black Hills of South Dakota, and I took all of the ingredients with me and made him my first Chocolate Pie from scratch (the crust too) during our vacation.

Now, my mother-in-law has asked me to make the Chocolate Pies for Thanksgiving. I've only made two in my whole life, and now I'm supposed to make 3 of them for next week and serve them up to his entire family.

I'm scared to death they'll be horrible. Yikes!!!!

    Sheri

I've never had pumpkin pie, I don't know how to make it, or what to eat it with or when. We just don't don't use them for eating here in the UK - tips?

What kind of pumpkin do you use?

Promise I'll report back when I've made one!

My mom's strawberry & rhubarb pie. I'm gonna email her right now and drop a hint for her traditional Czech Thanksgiving dinner. OMG, I'm gaining weight already.

Here I forgot my ultimate favorite

CUSTARD! 4 eggs and lots of whole milk form its delicious base. I dare not consider how many calories are in it, or ask my arteries for their opinion!

My favorite is Lemon Meringue, but I also love my mom's peach cobbler. It's great hot from the oven with heavy cream poured over it!
