It's how you call 'em that matters...
The more I look through various affiliate websites, the more new names I find for the affiliate-merchant relationship. Just yesterday I saw this one site calling several huge merchants listed on the bottom of each page - "Marketing Partners". Sounds impressive. I can almost see how having Amazon, Overstock, 1-800-Flowers and others listed as "marketing partners" can make his visitors trust his own content (which, by the way, is not in any way connected with what these "partners" are selling) more than the content of his competitor's site that doesn't have these little affiliate links on the bottom with a header "Marketing Partners".

It matters how you call 'em, doesn't it?

So I shouldn't have that section on my site called: "The People Who Pay me Part of Everything You Spend here"?
