Is it still possible to get 5 cent clicks at Google or is that a bygone era?
    Hi All,

I was wondering if it's still possible to get 5 cent clicks at Google?

And also, any tips you could share to keep my CPC down to a minimum would be greatly appreciated? Please?

    Thanks and Love You,
    HumbleFish

It depends on what keywords you're advertising with. I currently have keywords that only cost me 1 cent per click.

As for keeping your CPC down, experiment with running several ads with different ad copy for the same set of keywords. If you find an ad that performs better, quite often it will also have a lower CPC than your other ads.

If you need any help with this, feel free to PM me. I'm not an expert on Adwords, but I have learned a few good things this year.

I have all kinds of campaigns for 5 cents and below, in fact one of my most active is costing me just 3 cents a click.

Michael - Yeah, I have many that show minimums of $0.01 to $0.05.
Yes, but for how many clicks.
I'm not a PPC guy, I like it better when it's free but from time to time I've to promote a product for a short period of time so I'm using AdWords.
I'm looking at my campaign for today
    $798.50 for 6.863 clicks, it's an average $0.12 CPC
If I can save some money let me know. 10.000 clicks a day is what I need.
I'm going to stop my campaign after the 20th, just three days left to make it.

Look at it this way as an example:

I had a campaign where i set my bid at 20 cents. Was getting me about 300 clicks a day. Dropped it to 5 cents, now getting around a 100 clicks a day. So i get less clicks per day but I pay less for those clicks.

I'm wondering about that. I'm not an expert in PPC. I'm bidding an average $0.20 for these few keywords, I'm charged an average $0.12. My average position is 4.5. Nothing to brag about but I've the feeling I'm not getting qualified buyers (Always hard to spot with the kind of faulty reporting we have from the networks). I've my own tracking system and I can see what the people are doing. Doesn't match the pattern for visitors coming thru natural searches.
I'm wondering if I should bid much lower for a different kind of traffic.

Not a lot, but I don't care so much about volume on individual keywords. With enough really targeted keywords, it doesn't matter. I do far better with a lot of targeted keywords than I did when I tried a few general keywords.

One of my "$0.02" (it's actually closer to $0.014) keywords has had 219 clicks this month for a total cost of $3.09. It's in the top spot (average position of 1.1, actually) and has had a 69.9% CTR this month. It doesn't get more targeted than that. The keyword is specific enough that people searching for it are definitely 100% looking for the page I'm promoting.

Overall, I pay an average of $0.20 to $0.25 per click.
