November 16th, 2005, 01:18 PM #1Ebay cookie question.
Say, a visitor clicks my Ebay link and opens a new account ("Registration" action). My aff cookie now sits there.
The visitor comes back a week later through someone else's aff link (which overwrites my aff cookie) and makes his first bid ("Active Registration" action).
Question... Who get's credited with the $12?

No one. The two cookies cancel one another out.
Honestly, I believe that you do, since yours was the registration cookie. Don't take my word for it though, it seems like the rules change weekly (or weakly).EPN - Cautiously, but paranoically, optimistic.

I asked eBay about this and was told that the first bid is tied to the registration, not the original cookie, so you would get the commission. As long as it falls within the 30 day period, the absence or appearance of a cookie makes no difference.
