    Someone please explain this one
I have two accounts with LinkShare. They made merge them in order to recover sales at one I did not even knew I had, an old account I did not realize I had.

Anyway, when I log onto LS and enter my username/password, I always have to switch to my second account (and it seems real stupid because both accounts are the same name. What I don't understand is when I switch to the second account, my active account, the Linkshare Logo at the top left disapears and one for Overstock takes its place. Why is that? Anyone else see that?

All I can come up with is at one time I joined Overstock through thier link somehow and they've got some deal with LS that their logo should be there. Been there for years, but I never noticed it until they made me merge accounts.

Thanks, that explains a lot. Still seems stupid they do that since we supposedly have merged all our accounts, but they who really can figure out what the folks at LinkShare are thinking anyway. Maybe this explains why I can't get them to truely merge my accounts. Is there a possibility that Overstock is making a tiny commission off of every one of my sales in that account? Does make one wonder.

    Thanks, Haiko.

I know CJ gives a percentage on recruited affs to merchants, so I'd assume LS does as well. So your merging postulation makes sense ... via a nonsensical branding graphic LOL.

    Kelli,

Can you shed any light on this? I'm really sick and tired of having to switch accounts every time I log in just to see my sales, get links, go to SA, etc. Surely now that I've merged things we can get rid of that initial account (and then maybe delete the Overstock Logo too?).

We do not pay merchants a commission on the affiliates they recruit into the LS Network through their own site pages.

    There's an idea!

    On a side note....

Merchants can set up recruiting campaigns on LinkShare to pay Aff Partners for new partners that sign up through them and achieve specific activation goals.

Though it only counts for people who are totally new to LinkShare and recruited to that specific program, not people already in LinkShare and new to a specific program.

    Cheers

Well, can I get my member pages fixed so I don't have to log onto my Overstock member page to see my reports?

Or should I just drop my LS account and start over (Mr. Messer grinning at this possibility and his options of pushing the rejection button, I'm sure).

I've been asking this for months now. May not seem like a lot, but it's a needless click on my part and it should have been fixed long ago.

    Cant't we truely merge accounts???

    Ron,
You cannot eliminate your channel from the drop down or change the default. However, there is a way you can resolve your issue and ensure that when you login, you see the channel you want. You can follow these steps:

    1. Login to your Legal Entity Account.
    2. Click on "Update Profile" on the right hand side.
    3. Click on the Channel that you want to use as the Default.
    4. Go down to the section "Primary Contact Information For This Marketing
Channel" and click on Create New
    5. Enter a new User Name and Password, and enter all the contact information
    and click on Submit.
    6. A new User Name will be created for this channel.

If you then use this new login to access the LinkShare system, you should only
see the channel you're logging into.

Oh, my. I tried that and got into that screen where I had to enter information all those times when I was trying to get verified without success. I sure don't want to mess up anything there!

I think I undestand what you are explaining...except both of my curren channels listed have the same name. I'll just have to guess which one is the one I want, I guess. Trial and error.

I tried to do this kind of things a few times and my account is all messed up.
Don't understand the channels stuff. Why should I understand it, anyway?
I had the same User Name and Password for the last 9 years and it's all I want to remember.
