Kitchen Etc is back on the Internet
Did anybody else get burned when they filed bankruptcy? I was just doing a search for something on the Internet, and there they were:

    http://www.kitchenetc.com/

There is a link to an affiliate program page, but it just says "Coming Soon."

I'd be in their faces if they owed me. Have you confronted them with your interests?

Tracy - Did anybody else get burned when they filed bankruptcy?
Yep. Where's nothing much we can do. I lost a bunch of money with others in 1999/2000. I spent money on layers' fees..., got back some money but not enough to cover my expenses. The best is to watch closely the cies we're working with and be prepared to switch our links as soon as we spot something fishy.

I might have lost about $20 or $30 that month they disappeared from Perf, but I definitely came out on the winning end overall, with that merchant...

Are you serious about the legal prosecution, Zeus? Can one prosecute a bankrupt company? Just wondering...

"prosecution" may not be the right legal term, but nothing prevent you to file a claim. You're a creditor. I did it several times between 1999 and 2000. I had over $300K due in commission. All these companies were part of LinkShare and linkShare kept them for months sucking my traffic. These cies were not paying their bills and LS was hidding it from us. Understand why I'll like to see a much better reporting.

It's hard to give you an average. All the cases are not the same. I got nothing from 2 cies out of 4. There was only debts, you don't want to share that. From one, after more than two years, I was able to recover around $50K. That cie was bought by a competitor of them and after changing names several times, they are back at LS. I got less than $5k from the fourth one. My legal fees and other expenses during that time were around $40K. And I'm not counting my own time. So, I'm not sure it was wise to do it. It's an experience and as such it's valuable.
