    Ethical Merchant Practices
    So I have heard some of the unethical practices but what are some of the good things merchants can do in order to build trust with their affiliates?

    Payment in advance for anticipated sales would be a *major* +

    Be scrait ( straight) up and considerate ... and give it time.

    A little unfair IMHO. What if you don't get the sales you were paid for? Is the affiliate expected to refund the balance or do they just get to pocket the extra cash? Alot of merchants would be going out of business pretty quick with that method. Now I could understand quicker payments for sales already received... such as net 10 days instead of 30 or 45 days

    1) Pay fair commissions
    2) Have a fair cookie duration
    3) Avoid parasites
    4) Pay quickly
    5) Respond to questions and complaints quickly
    6) Give your affiliates every promotional opportunity that you give other marketing channels

    Not really ethics but it builds trust with me if merchants can keep their creative straight. One of the things that really annoy me, outdated links. One day I'll start a thread with just the merchants at ABW and show how bad it is
