    Advertising on ABestWeb?
I know that ABestWeb offers different advertising options, including a mailing to all opt-in members, etc.

This may be the worst place to ask this question, but is this effective for somebody (i.e. us) seeking new affiliates? Or do people not like those things?

    Thanks,

    Alex

I always read them, sometimes visit the site.

If it came from anyone else it would be spam, but as a thanks to Haiko for all he does I pay special attention to them. I suspect most of us do.

This way I get lots of emails from Haiko and it lets me think he loves me.

Unlike sites like geekvillage, Haiko actually seems to do more investigation that just seeing if the check will clear before promoting a program. I always at least read them and think about it.

Haiko Email Opportunity = Not Spam = Credible = Possible Opportunity
Other Unsolicited Email = SPAM = Probably NOT Credible = Possible Ripoff

So that's how they compare in my book. Just my subjective feelings.

I just got one from a merchant that touts UncleScooter as the main selling point

As Uncle Scooter was the first to point out, our program is not completely clean yet. If you come across programs whose tactics/methods are suspicious please let me know and please send links to relevant articles/threads/examples that site that activity. This will help me clean up shop.
We are always cleaning and I am always learning.

First off.... no offense, I hope....

have yet to read any, probably will never read any.... There is a "search" function for me to find what I want, as opposed to what is forced upon me.

    Miles,

Nothing is forced. You can log into your User CP and opt out of receiving the emails. All the emails going out from ABW are completely opt in.

I do still like to glance at the sales copy.... I am always skeptical of ads.... I have sold advertising before, so that may play a part in the situation, too...

I am sure for some people the advertising pays off (obviously, or no one would purchase it), but I like to offer quality relavent content to build traffic, just a diffrent approach.
