    BeFree Down?
I can't connect to affiliates.befree.com. I keep getting a TCP error as if the server is down. Anybody else having any luck?

Same here...it's 6:05 A.M. NY time and I can't login. Just a FYI...there were reporting issues with some merchants on 11/14 so check your reports -- it's still not resolved.

I'm surprised nobody else has said anything about this. Is BeFree really that dead?

Befree reminds me of one of those real world Malls where most of the main stores are closed down. A flea market operation sought out by merchants who cherish the sporatic reporting and fact that BF tracking can't co-exist with dual network programs. Reality is domain bound BF affiliates, not playing any tricks for clicks, or e-mail and browser spamming will only earn a PENNY per click in 2005. Wasn't like that in prior years, when even ABW had some active BF merchant posters, and we monitored conversion ratios. Year 2002 BF was good for 36 cents per click. Year 2003 it jumped to 42 cents per click. Year 2004 it dropped to 21 cents per click.

Year 2005 it's down to a 1 cent per click, making it the cheapest internet advertising vehicle for merchants, who demand things never change. It's nothing more then a 3rd world CPA network now and the good honest merchants are moving out knowing that is the only way they can keep their real value-add affiliates. All you couponers -BHO's and e-mail spammers have at them. The PPCSE playa's will go broke trying to find a converting BF merchant.

impressions=1,905,929 13,948 sales=56 ordered amount=$4,738.84 shipped=85 $8,105.47 0 68 returns=4 total commission=$212.92 .... pathetic Please all you affiliates, who do the opposite of me, jump over to BF and push them till it hurts.

It's down on the merchant side as well.

I have a new merchant we are working with on BF and we haven't been able to log in either ...

Needless to say, look for this merchant to be opening up on SAS very soon....

Its is not working for me as well.

I like some features of Befree but some I don't like and things like not been able to unsubscribe from emails for certain sites. This means every day I get up to 12 (depends how many sites I have) x 100's hundreds of merchants heavy html emails while I only need one. This is exremely anoying and have requested something be done about it many times but they won't, 5 minute coding job to add a select option for each site.

While I can understand Thanksgiving is the reason they're not tending to this, it's unacceptable in this industry. We're starting the busiest shopping day of the year and we can't even log into their system. What a shame..
