How to link to a thread?
    Hi everyone,

Ok ok... I know I asked this MONTHS ago and I thank all of you who responded way back then.

I'm trying to link to a thread within a new post and I can't remember how... can someone please remind me? I used the function ONCE after asking the question last time and despite my brain racking I'm just coming up empty handed.

Thanks in advance for any responses...

    Liz

    Liz,

    1) Select the words you want to link

    2) Then click the "Insert Hyperlink" button [must be in the Advanced Mode of post editing]

    3) Click OK in the 1st pop-up box

    3) Insert your link into the field in the 2nd pop-up box (once it appears after the first one), and hit OK again

    Geno

Thanks Geno! I'm trying to link to a specific thread though... from ABW...

I'll see if I can figure it out anyhow. I think I'm beginning to remember... something about seeing the page ID or post ID in the URL of the thread page...

P.S. - just sent you an email through the forum PM feature...

    Liz,

If it's the entire thread you are wanting to link to, then go to the thread. Copy the URL from your browser. Paste that URL into the reply box in the thread you are posting to.

If you want to link to just a specific post in a thread, then go to the post you want to link. Hoover your mouse over the Post Number in the top right corner of the post (eg #5). Right click and copy shortcut. Paste that URL into the reply box of the post you are making.

    Hope that helps.
