Linkshare Mod - Overstock.com Needs Your Help
    http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=66808

Somebody needs to handle this once and for all, those threads get avoided by the folks at Overstock. According to that thread and others like it, they're not paying the agreed commission rates. Just wondering how long Linkshare is going to allow this. I will be going thru all my sales later today to find any inconsistencies.

I can't believe they've let this go on for so long. Who knows how many thousands or tens of thousands of dollars have been lost due to this. It's come up constantly for the past year or so with absolutely no solution or respect to the problem. I guess they figure it's saving them money so why bother.. Overstock obviously doesn't care about their reputation among affiliates.

Once this is fixed, there should be some sort of communication to affiliates and a program-wide calculation of all incorrect commissions.

LinkShare owes it to their affiliates to make sure that commissions are calculated correctly.

Are you kidding? Linkshare has never owned up to non-compliant merchant behavior. They allow merchants to go for months without paying affiliates.

Ranae, don't spend your time just on the easy questions.
You need to tell us why LinkShare is doing NOTHING to make sure, we're paid our full commissions with Overstock. If you can't answer, just ask the Rakuten rep to come here and explain why he is STEALING our money.

I offered Clark a suggestion that may require some work from Linkshare. Linkshare should allow merchants to indicate the commission level per-item in the transaction reports themselves. This would remedy the problem completely.

    All,
Overstock and LinkShare are aware of the issue and looking into a resolution. The Overstock account manager posted a response on the Overstock forum http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=66808.

Wow, it only took three weeks for LS to respond. (Actually, thank goodness Ranae is here covering or it may never have been answered).

This is such bad PR for Overstock and sadly too, for LS, that this has been allowed to go on this long unchecked. It's easy to say that the two companies are aware of it, but hey folks, it was the high season when all this was going on and folks were not getting their correct commissions.

So, will the resolution include compensating all affiliates for the incorrect commissions that have been paid during the entire time that the problem existed?
