No idea if it had been down all day or not, it was back up a few minutes after I had trouble reaching it.

No loss really. They have been horrible converters for ages now.

If you have visitors who have bookmarked your site to return often for recommendations, they may become less regular if they are repeatedly sent to dead ends.

That wouldn't be much of an issue for your sites, though.

My take is Boscov's cannot prove their shopping cart can track sales if both the BeFree and CJ cookies are both active. No way this could be done when Overstock had both BeFree and Linkshare cookies active. That eliminated any tracking in their cart as they were forced to rotate networks and then just unplug BF till they smoozed affiliates to LS. I haven't seen ONE sale from Boscov's since they went dual network cookie parsing.

I'll concur with the conversion issue since the very day they popped up on CJ, but still prefer to leave them up for product lines that nobody else carries; a lucky sale slips through here and there, and it also continues to serve as a handy vehicle for Adsense delivery.

Actually they have been a pretty good merchant for me ever since I joined them way back in August 2003. I can count on one hand the number of times I did not receive a payment from them, which is more than I can say for other deadbeat merchants. Their click to conversion is not that great, but steady enough. Their AM is really good and I have always been able to rely on her to answer any queries I might have (she deserves a raise!). As far as their move to CJ goes, I have had a few sales from them since I started swapping my links over from BF so only time will tell whether they have jumped from the frying pan into the fire. Just have to keep on reminding myself that "tracking is never affected" at CJ . Like most other merchants, problems do crop up with them but, on the whole, I can't really complain.

Sales on alternating days may be taking place. I'm sure GoldenCans Asif could check my theory from his apps pushing either BF and CJ stats.
