It's snowing like crazy here, I hope it keeps up all night! All those delicious holiday shoppers in a buying frenzy, stuck at home with their computer and a credit card, wooooot!

I hope it snows for DAYS!

I HATE BEING WHERE IT IS SNOWING. But you pointed out a good reason to like it! Stuck at home shopping on the internet..... yeah, the whole snow belt can get socked in for a few days and that would be great

We miss snow in the North-East of Russia. Somehow St. Pete isn't getting much this year... I guess, it's exactly because "it's snowing like crazy" where you are! You must be stealing our snow!!

But, of course, selling those cozy Russian fur hats, I can't help but appreciate it... I hope it snows like that in Northern US and Canada all winter long too...

Not sure whether to bless or blame those sentiments, EC and Geno.

I'll take the sales, but I'd rather have a snow-proof heated dome over me and and anyplace *I* want to go to...

I'm envious! I haven't experienced a good snowfall for at least 10 to 15 years. Living in California has it's perks but I really do wish it'd snow once in a while..

I wish we had snow...the only thing close to it in Sydney is the hail we get on occasion...somehow it doesn't quite 'feel' like Christmas without snow...and we're never going to get it Christmas time...seeing we're just in the wrong side of the equator for it - it's now hot summer weather...

Heh, snuck around the back way coming home and ambushed my youngest with snowballs. It's snowing like crazy, and he is outside, practicing his free throws. The kid is dedicated, I'll give him that.

Blizzard Alert; Tonight a Southwest Airlines passenger plane with 97 midgets aboard slid off the snow filled runway trying to dodge an impromptu picket line and Mini-bus of Bi-Polar volunteers from a local homeless shelter. Seems the pilot panicked into a skid when the placard carrying picketline all flipped him a bird. Earlier a newsman reported the accident was caused by either snow or birds. Not so! The midget carrying plane pushed the Homeless Shelter Mini-bus right through a fence and 7/11 parking lot right out into the road across from The BoobyTrap Lounge.

The newsman said no one was hurt on the plane. When asked how the plane held just the 97 midgets he said they all got together and bought 96 childrens seat fares and the adults never showed up. Someone asked how it came out an odd number if they were matched adult/kids seats. Quick wit replied when you pack that many midgets together in that small a space ...one always gives birth.

They brought in heated busses for the passengers and crew. The Bi-Polar picketers were last seen fighting over who'd get to drive one of the busses. I'll post more as the nightly 24hr airport news TV channel keeps rolling in more details..or I find more rolling papers.

The folks on that 737 faired well enough but the couple of cars that got crunched resulted in injuries.

It's been snowing like crazy here in Montreal all night long - and everyone in the office loves it. Perfect weather for our Christmas party tonight. Guess we're living in the right city!

Although the guys repairing the highrise roof next door, that we see from our huge bank of windows, look kindof miserable this morning...

Snowing here in the big city, those big wet flakes that weight a ton when you shovel them away. I don't have to leave the house until 2:00. Hopefully it will all melt by then. As far as it lasting for days and days, I hope not. It is beautiful when it first snows, but imagine 5 days of snow hanging around in the Big Apple. I find those spots of yellow snow particularly nasty. I've been completely turned off of lemon icies forever.

Had to dig myself out of my apartment parking lot yesterday. We got 10.5 inches in about 15 hours. Worse than the snow, I hate the mess it makes when it started to melt today. Sloppy dirty mess! Car is always filthy.

With ya all the way on that one, Mike

Helluva story about the midgets and bi-polars - can't make up stufff like that

The rest of you ... reading this thread is making me COLDER! Los Angeles isn't warm now either. Arghhhhhhh - digging through drawers, trying to find sweaters and warm stuff. Don't know how you all can stand it brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! ... Snow for us is fun and we actively go looking for it when we're in the mood but it's a few hours away by car ... a NOVELTY. The first winter I lived in Reno and opened my front door, only to be met with a wall of snow, I was dumb struck. Remained dumb struck until it melted ... but it was lovely sitting inside by a fire, watching the snowflakes tumble around the street lamp through the picture window. Took only one season before I rushed back to Los Angeles. ;-)
