Which Affiliate Marketing Company to use?
Hiya - I am interested in putting out an affiliate marketing program for my company.
We make a software package for Electronic Tax Filing Professionals and Businesses for the USA
and we're looking to grow our installed user base to over 4500 for the upcoming tax season.

I'm interested in finding an affiliate program that can handle :
    1. no upfront set up fees
    2. marketing and recruiting of affiliates
    3. one time payout per sale.

We're not into Pay Per Click - we're highly interested in Pay Per Sale.

Can you guys recommend such a company?

Oh - our product retails for 250.00 and we sense that 50.00 per unit
sale can go to the affiliate.

please reply here or send me a pm.
    regards [Bill]

    Thanks Electropulse, but
It fails on #1. Is there any other company that matches my simple list of requirements?

    Do let me know!

I think you want too much.

not even a setup fee, just pay per buying traffic, and you want recruiting also?

what part of the year were you going to cover??

The setup fees at ShareASale are so low that many affiliates here, if you judge SAS to be a no-go based on that, will wonder about your ability to pay us.

If you run a decent program (your plan and our hope), the low SAS setup fees will save you tons compared to a % of every sale going forward for years.

It takes money to set-up a good affiliate program. The investment is well worth while. I don't think any network has absolutely no set-up fees. Also, if you want marketing and affiliate recruitment you will probably have to pay an extra fee for services each month as well, on top of the per sale fee.

    the simple answer! NO!

if you are unwilling to spend the few dollars it costs to setup a program with SAS you are better off forgetting about affiliates... the only other way is in-house and then you have to buy software... more expensive/work then SAS...

To start and run a succesful affiliate program there are going to costs associated with them just like any other successful type of marketing. Not only are you going to have to pay a setup fee but you will also have to pay to have banner/creative developed, promotion costs such as advertising on Abestweb or in revenue magazine.

If you are not willing to shell out a few dollars to develop a good program then don't expect to get a good return.

    Good Luck,

Don't forget a BIG deposit for commissions.
    Auto deposit is always best.

This is true. If you're serious about starting an affiliate program, you should be willing to invest the money up front. Going cheap isn't something you should consider here, IMO. It can cost you many times more in lost sales and affiliates than you may think you're saving.

    Thanks for all the FeedBack!
Thanks EveryOne for the responses and feedback. I'm a noob at this, as you can surmise.

After spending a long day studying online and slamming email inquiries back and forth, we've decided to go with one where we pay up front and then a commission on each sale, on top of the affiliate payout. It simply makes more sense ... You know - ya get what you pay for... And since we want results, we'll engage and pay for results.

If I tripped a few chords here, my apologies.

    regards [Bill]
