    Lightbulb First White Christmas
    Hi ABW

I am from Australia and I am currently working in Montreal. This will be my first ever White Christmas! Is there any suggestions of what I should do?

Plus, what does everyone do for New Years?

This is what we do here in the Northern Hemisphere: http://www.angelfire.com/wa/zzaran/calvin.html

Well, maybe not exactly like that, but you get the idea.

New Year's Eve? How old are you, Jamie? That makes a huge difference.

For a while we went out with a few other couples and partied.

Then we got a little older.

For a while after that we took turns hosting our favorite friends for dinner and then played cards all night while listening to the festivities on TV.

Then we got a little older.

Now we just snuggle in front of the fire and have a drink or two and go to bed early!

How do Oztralites celebrate the New Year?

As for snow, here are some fun things to do: cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, sledding (tobagganing), ice fishing, ice skating. However none of these activities will be fun if you haven't acclimated to the cold and if you're not dressed properly.

WARNING! When I went to the above link and started viewing the cartoons, I got hit with a blizzard of popups after about 60 seconds of viewing, and Norton said there was an incoming virus it couldn't stop.

It might be just my PC, but I run Norton AV and Spyware Doctor, and did a scan not long ago that said I was clean.

I shut things down ASAP and the PC seems clean (maybe SD caught what Norton couldn't) but be ready with the "shutdown" switch if you visit that site.

I'll run a full scan on my PC later today.

Things looked fine as I scrolled down through the cartoons, then at about 30-60 seconds into it is when the problem started.

It could still just be my PC and not the site, probably never know.

That snow man picture was hilarious, Neil. As for my age I am 26 so I still have a lot partying left!

So what everyone seems to be saying is build a snowman and snowwomen in some compromising positions. Sounds like I have busy Christmas ahead of me.

I'm back. It may have been something on my PC.

I did a few scans in Safe Mode and turned up:
    -- Elitemedia Pop64
    -- Trojan.Downloader.Pacmedia

After deleting those I visited the same URL again:
    -- Netscape: Nothing odd.
-- IE 6.0.2900: Two harmless popups, only.

So either I already had the two baddies above on my PC, or I picked them up at the site. No way to know which, but since it seems O.K. now when I visit the site I'll assume the problem was already on my PC.

    Nevermind!

Funny cartoons, I have to say!

My New Years last year was spent paying $150 for all you can drink (basic drinks only) you had to pay extra for certain drinks. I was not too happy about that. So I thought I might drink the place dry. After that plan failed. I walked the streets and walked into someone house and starting partying with them!

I really did have a nasty hang over the next day!
