December 13th, 2005, 07:11 PM #1Locked payments question
I have the expected amount of monies locked and ready to be paid. Some of the monies that were locked have alreay been moved to the current balance box on the commissions line. When will the rest of the money be moved to the next level? Is there a schedule? Does it just happen intermittantly? Can anyone explain how this works? It just concerns me because my bread and butter comission is still in the locked position, while my other 2 have been moved down to the next level.

Movement from the "locked" status to the commissions line in your current balance occurs when CJ processes the transaction that reflects payment from the merchant to CJ for the month.
If a merchant doesn't pay it stays locked. If merchant is late paying or CJ is late processing (they will both accuse the other) you will not recieve those commissions in your payment till the next month.
After your monthly payment is processed any late payments and/or transactions will appear as "begining balance" and will be paid to you the following month.
If the merchant doesn't pay - I'm not sure but I think they will stay in the locked amount, possibly the "extended" which used to be the case until CJ is paid.
If the merchant doesn't pay and CJ gives them the boot, your commissions float away to the bad AP fairy, and CJ is not liable under current publisher agreement.
