    Abestweb Tips for getting the maximum from the forums
    There is so much information on these forums. What is the best way to get the maximum out of these forums ?

    Two I know of is - use the search option and to subscribe to the threads. Any other ?

    If you find amerchant that you think is worthy of being placed on your site send them an email and ask for tips. Most good am's will help you out or send you to sites that are good for am tips.

    Here and there you'll read a bit of wisdom that should be memorized. Like

    Haiko: This is a business. Treat it like one.
    Leader: C*ntent is not king, REVENUE is king.
    lstolze: Paraphrased, but she pointed out that there's a difference between high maintenance and low maintenance sites/pages.

    Learn to spot those, they'll serve you well long term when you apply them.

    And VERY important - spend time reading and get to know who's who; who to pay attention to when they share, and who to take with a grain of salt, especially when it comes to negativity or discouragement.

    True, not everyone has expertise in all matters, some have knowledge in some areas but are lacking in others, and some are highly opinionated whether or not they know what they're talking about. Knowing which is which, and learning what to receive or filter out, is part of getting to know who's who.

    Click on "New Posts" on the toolbar, and read everything for awhile.

    Pretty soon you'll know which areas to concentrate on.
