Does Linkshare customer support ever reply?
I sent in the same question to their support email from within the Linkshare interface four times so far. Not one reply. Nothing. And it isn't even a complicated question...

Perhaps that's why many people post their support questions here.

Customer service has never been LinkShare's strongest area. They really need a support ticket system.

They moved all their support people to the affiliate recruiting & spamming dept.

I'm hoping some Linkshare person will see this thread and give me some suggestions...

    La Valette,
Our Customer Support is very busy right now and trying to answer all the questions that come in. Is there a specific question that I can answer for you or you can PM me your question with your LinkShare username and email.

Support is one of their weakest links at Linkshare (not including Synergy Analytics, of course). I sent one last week and after a couple of days was very frustrated because I could not tell if they got it or not. When I did get it, it looked very much like a cookie cutter standard response. It still did not answer my question clearly.

For the record, Linkshare support replied to me last night.

One hopes some plan is in place to improve matters in future...

Wellll.. customer support is for "customers" - right? Customers are people who buy stuff, right? Are affiliates "customers" or "business partners?" Seems to me that there's a difference between the two, and that there should be an affiliate support unit that's trained and competent and actually responsive to "partner" requests on necessary support issues relevant to the "business" relationship that is supposed to exist - or so it's assumed.

It seems to be that the very mis-usage of terminology kind of represents a significant clue to the basic misunderstanding of the nature of the relationships and what's actually supposed to be going on as opposed to what is going on - or rather, what is NOT going on - namely, the proper and appropriate handling of affiliate support issues by their BUSINESS partner on behalf of merchant clients, Linkshare.
