Geeze, I thought you meant you had 79 guests for Christmas. >shudder<

I think the temps here are more likely to be 7 *or* 9.

    SHHHHH!

You're not supposed to tell people. Or if you must, be sure to mention earthquakes. We really don't need any more people here.

Yep ... it's a beautiful day in So Cal. Sun shining, clear skies ... ground stable for the moment ... my older daughter went to the mountains yesterday so she could experience snow for Christmas.

Donna, after the Rose Bowl, there's always a big influx of migraters ... people see that gorgeous sunny day mid-January and flock here ... only to be terrorized when the ground rebels. But oh it's nice to be warm when the rest of the country is knee deep in SNOW.

We send all you freezing brothers and sisters warm wishes for the holiday!
    Peace,

I think it's nice that the Rose Parade is so early in the morning, and people have to get there very early to get a good spot. Folks on the east coast tune in a bit before noon and see all the california folks with their coats and sweaters and think it's noon here too.

One year (1964 I think) I lived half a block from the parade route. Just before the parade they blocked off all the side streets and I carried one of my kitchen chairs out and put it in the intersection. Front row, no waiting, comfortable seating. What could be better?
