What else can we expect from these companies offering FREEWARE? They have to make a deal with other crooks to survive.

    Yikes.

Do people who agree (and I use the term loosely) to 180's EULA currently allow large file delivery to their computer? How are they prompted? How are they protected from malicious files? How are they informed about the files purpose? What kind of files can people send? If YouSendIt is supposed to be a service where you know the people's email address and you're not spamming files, and they funnel those files for delivery through an adware channel, how does a YouSendIt sender pick where their files are being sent?

There's like 30 more questions flowing out from my head from this combustible combination of "emailing-large-files, work-around-ISP-filtering, spamming machine" and "can't-remove it, reinstalls-itself, monitors-your-every-browsing-move, encrypts-it's- communications-back-to-the-mother-ship, ad-popping, info-collecting machine"...

Kellie, could you create some sort of file that deletes the Zango / 180 Solutions client application and sign up for this service and start sending it out please...

Great link Angel - nice article!

Like how they try to defer pressure by saying things about WhenU... typical scammers.

Wish the FTC would nuke them all.

Notify Homeland security and they'll have yousendit.com e-mail scraping activities and file forwarding service wired for monitoring. EDS has this domain blocked from all their computers for a good reason. They also make posession of thumb drives at work a huge no-no after discovering client/company privacy info compromised.
