    Interesting email
Just got this "link exchange" request ... with a twist ... thought itworthy of sharing:
    -------------------------
I wondering if you would be receptive to link exchanges with our site. We offer fair trades of links on a decent PR network of our websites. Due to rigorous web hosting anti-Spam policies I'm not able to give the exact domain in this initial e-mail to you, and if you similarly do link exchange e-mails, I would advise you to not give your URL in your initial e-mail. In the past, I've lost many hosting accounts because I've simply given the URL in this initial e-mail and the hosting company insisted that it violated their Spam policies. If the recipient of the e-mail replies for further info, it's no longer deemed "Spam".

If you are interested, please reply with your linking details and I will add your site and send you the details of the site I am proposing for the link exchange. If we exchange links, I will then offer other links for us to exchange in the future. Thank you for bearing with this new policy, but it is highly necessary.
    -----------------------------

Could it be ... The link whores are being curtailed?
    Peace,

    Rexanne

I'd hit the nuke button on that one right off. Sounds like it's coming from a link monkey with a bad approach, especially with the parts about the decent PR network of our websites and having other sites to exchange with.

Oh it was nuked right away but thanks for the warning. :-)

I love if it's for real that his/her ISP stops him/her from sending these stupid mass link exchange requests. I get at least 10 a day and most are carbon copies with the nonsense about how it will help MY PR to exchange links, etc. I think there's a link exchange program that writes the email template with "insert web site URL here" - bleh
