Interesting that in a Firefox browser, the top right 2 pixle ads are only seen with a right scroll on the page. If anyone does buy ads on pixle sites, shoot for the middle or anywhere but the top right (or left as the case may be).

It's not about FF being for profit, it's about the traffic

Sounds like a winner to me! I'm in for $600. Even if the advertising doesn't work out, I know it's going to a good cause.

Hmmm. So successful already they crashed their site... No matter. I picked up over 100 visitors in the first 7 hours, and spiders galore. Should be very effective when everyone knows about it.

And you won't see my ad.... It's pretty small... Not too far from Haiko's though. I've leeched his intellect all these years, might as well leech his traffic too

j/k of course, completely unrelated ads...

Site crashed, or shut down by Firefox.com? My first suspicion is the latter.

My ad and link never got listed, but they have my money.

I should have thought to look, but I don't see a reference at SpreadFireFox, either supporting it or out it...

But it does have credible references:

    Site temporarily closed
The first 24 hours of this site has been a true success, with more than 13 800 pixels being sold.
We have to take down the site for now but we hope to be back as soon as possible.

I've already contacted paypal (just in case) but the site is owned by http://www.loopia.se/ which is the largest Swedish accredited registrar and host, you can even see an ad on their FP. I originally saw it on adrants.

It could be that they are moving servers

Yeah, that was my second thought.

I've emailed them and am waiting for a reply.

As far as PayPal goes, you have (only) 45 days to dispute a charge through them. If you funded the transaction through a credit card, you also have the ability to dispute it there. PayPal is usually much more restrictive on their disputes than credit card companies, but they honor a dispute if you successfully dispute it through the credit card company. It's always best to give the merchant a chance first, then PayPal, then the credit card company.

On a side note, I highly suggest using American Express, as you have six months to dispute charges with them, and you can do it online or over the phone. Most other credit cards are 60 days and you usually have to do it in writing.

I'm not disputing anything yet, but will if this turns sour.

I haven't seen proof of that, but I haven't seen any news to contrary anywhere either. What's amazing to me is that spreadfireox and firefox.com don't have a comment either way, last I looked.

I emailed them back, giving them 24 hours to give an explanation before I dispute the charges.

There could be a legitimate explanation, but they should at least communicate. If they did that, I would be happy to give them more time.
