    LinkShare and GoldenCAN?
What is the status of LinkShare working with GoldenCAN? Does a merchant need some sort of approval from LinkShare before it can use GoldenCAN?
We want to use GoldenCAN ASAP!

    Thanks for y'alls imput.

we want you to be able to also, but LS has allowed just a very few merchants to do it on a trial basis so far. we're told LS is going to change linking methods somehow soon and compatibility could be an issue. doesn't make sense unless every datafeed in there will have to be somehow compensated for also.

    we're staying tuned . . .

Thanks Herb. I guess that explains why GoldenCAN never got back to me.

I'm afraid the GoldenCan testing period will be like Synergy Analytics beta.

    So sad.

just a thought: the GoldenCAN way is one, but isn't SE friendly. There are other page makers around that leave code on a page that can be spidered, but then it should be renewed periodically by the affiliates. for those in LS, AMWSO's offering comes to mind. I don't know the costing, but more than one tool is a good thing for many of us.

Herb, thanks so much for your input. Are there any other ones besides the one from Chris. Do you like Product Showcase Creator or WebMerge?

Webmerge works for many but it is from the affiliate standpoint client-side; they have to buy into it.

Akiva's PSC and dPSC work well for us. The dPSC gives an instant reflection of your current datafeed.

Others depend on the network you're in at the time. Some, like at SAS are probably the most economical but are not dynamic.

Access to a copy of your datafeed external to LS is handy for some affiliates, also. Many don't qualify for internal access; they're just not busy enough but do use datafeeds in their sites.
