What do other affiliates think of "merchant musical chairs?"
I am referring to a merchant starting at Commission Junction, then going to Performics and then winding up at Linkshare. Or sometimes the dance is the other way around.
For example, Yves Rocher was with Linkshare for the longest time, and now Yves Rocher is with Performics.
Catalog City was first with CJ, then with CJ & Performics simultaneously. Catalog City stopped those programs, changed its name, and now is at Linkshare.
Have you ever been affiliated with a merchant at a certain "affiliate/accounting company" only to be rejected when you apply to the same merchant at a different "affiliate/accounting company?"
It can definitely be a dance of "Swing your partner" but sometimes the affiliate is left hanging on the sidelines.
I made money for Maryland Square at Performics, but for some strange reason Maryland Square won't accept me into their program at CJ.
Similar observations, anyone?

Yes, that is always a problem! It makes one a bit weary, especially when they have a ton of links to replace! As far as being rejected goes, send them an email and make your case - this usually works. Heck, I was once approached by a BF merchant to feature their program a month AFTER they denied me!This World is Not My Home
We're gonna go inside, we're gonna go outside, inside and outside. . . And then we're gonna go go go and we're not gonna stop til we get across that goalline! Quotes from the movie Rudy, 1993

I do hate when they do that, it is a pain it the butt! It happens way too often. Changing links again and again. I’m sure they think they have a good reason, but I’m not sure what that would be. At the very least it is very inconsiderate to their affiliates. With all the work it causes. As to being declined, I cannot recall that happening. Although I agree with Cheesehead, a email should do the trick.

being rejected at CJ may only mean that someone at CJ thought he/she was following the rule set by the merchant. When in doubt, try again or go direct, especially if you have a good sales history.

January 22nd, 2006, 08:02 PM #7MyTights.com from CJ to Shareasale
I affiliated with MyTights.com at CJ.
MyTights.com is supposedly now at Shareasale, but I couldn't find them to link up with them!
