Lookie here, I just checked my stats for last month.

I had 164441 Individual Clients in August!
Oh, yeah, subtract me. That makes 164440 Individual Clients.

"Individual Clients: If a client accesses more than once on different
days within your report period, this counts only once, whereas the Clients
and All Clients fields count the client again."

Of course, that is only 2481 unique visitors a day but a lot of them come back time after time. My daily average was 7785 clients a day.

I didn't earn beans!

Woo those are *good* stats.. I work on the principle that it takes 1000 visitors to make a sale earning about $2 commission. So I'm a *long* way off retiring with my stats

SSanf,

How many page views and how long on each page? These are very important factors

7169 average daily page hits.

I don't know how long on each. But, also a few of my more important pages have pop-ups, so I don't guess they count much as page views.???

I think people really want to see my site but I lose a whole lot of them due to the afore mentioned problem with Yahoo sucking toad balls.

If you don't mind me asking, do you have a clickthrough rate figure?

The way things look on your server the numbers you are discussing are attempted landings. All you have to do is request a file and it registers in your logs. The file never has to actually load.

Clicks schmicks! They really don't mean much, not unless you are getting paid *by the click* Sounds to me like you need to stand back and re-evaluate your sponsors.

My best advice: (ya know your "gunna make us rich page") that's the first place to start the remodel!

I know how you can make a good solid base for your site. I also know how you can earn real cash each month for your traffic!

I have a plan!

Email me at bigcampaign@yahoo.com if you would like to hear it.

Hint: it involves check boxes

Yeah, that ugly page is an experiment. Actually, quite a few people do click on it but when they get to the CJ page, they lose interest. They sure don't make any effort to sell potential affiliates at CJ, do they?

Do you mean the click through rate figures from CJ?

I just mean that Cj is no longer the vehicle to get you where you want to be, not unless you are content to get there by walking barefoot for miles through broken glass! There is so mush more out there! You need to branch out in as many direction as possible, you also NEED to develop a relationship with your visitors through a newsletter of some type. (This is the key!)

Ok, Well anyway, I am not able to say anything more here, please email me if you want to know how to turn your traffic into some real cash!

You are absolutely correct about the newsletter ... and we have listed some other good affiliate programs in here (I am quite impressed with direct leads myself) but at least 60% of my sites traffic will continue to go to CJ ... I believe in them, maybe it is because I have some "inside" info ... but I know they are working for us ... I still have some trepidations ... but I *always* get my check from them

I like my newsletters, but everyone is telling me email is going to die because of spam and new ways to connect with people. Are young people using email or do they just text one another?

Yeah, the thread is 7 years old. The join dates are wrong for people that were here before 2005. That was a little sticking glitch after a board upgrade. I joined sometime in early 2002 and it says January 18, 2005 and it's the same date (a few 17th) for everybody that joined before that.
