    Page Links
    Hello,

    i dont know if this is the right forum to post this in but i have a question for you guys. Im redesigning a website and i have a links bar at the side of the page. ie (articles, forum, Home, contact etc) now these same 4 links are going to be on about 60 pages of information. in the future if i ever want to add another link i will have to go through 60 pages and do it manually. Is there a better way? im thinking theres a way to make a quick script and save it under my webhost, and then in the page itself there should be a way to pull the script. Whenever i make changes to the script.. it will change on all 60 pages

    im sure this is possible.. i just dont know how to do it thanks!.

    Hi zibzer,

    You can easily do this using a server side-include.. just save your navigation with a file name like navigation.ssi and call to it like

    <!--#include virtual="/includes/navigation.ssi" -->

    http://www.google.com/search?q=server+side+include

    ..I also use php includes a lot as well..

    Hope that's helpful. Gary M

    hmm. brings up a second question. As to my understanding search engines such as Google will search the pages your main page links to. By using an Include file will the spiders STILL be able to see my other linked pages?

    I was also concerned about spiders being able to not only see and spider them, but count them as backlinks for PR ... turns out they do count
