    Question Index Template Help Needed
    This will probably sound like a lame newbie question, but I have only just started using WM again after being away a long time.

    I need to create a simple index page template with output for each category field within my database with all records from the category included on the one category page, and repeated in seperate pages for each category. Fields in the database are title, filename, description, category.

    I want the index page output to be a seperate page for each category (there are multiple records for each category, but those that share a common category are labelled as such in each record with the same category name).

    HOPEFUL OUTPUT

    Category Name (for top of page)

    title (with hyperlink to filename) description (in text-not linked)

    (repeated on same page for each record within the category)

    **I have followed the setup in each tutorial and get a bunch of weird things, and in one (the one from the WM help), get the proper output, minus the category label for the top of the page. The problem is that the description text is also linked).

    Somebody please help! I'm pretty sure this kind of setup is pretty common. At least I'm hoping so....I can do pretty good with the detail pages, but always seem to get stuck on the index...

    Thanks

    Tom F.

    [WM-Field: Description noLink raw]

    Use the nolink raw tag as above and the description will not be a link.

    Try the following. You can change the colors and etc by just changing the color codes. Notice where I start and end Record. This will put the category centered at the top of the page and then keep repeating what you want the rest of the way down the page in the same format. Put this in your html where you want the items and run a test of 20 items or so forth and you will see what I mean.

    Be sure you are using the field names in your feed. They might not be the same as the fields in the feed that I using for the example.

    Insert this html where you want the information to start in your page.

    <tr>
    <td align="center" valign="top" style="padding-bottom: 0">
    <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%" id="table2">
    <tr>
    <td width="100%" style="padding-left:3px; padding-right:3px; padding-top:15px; padding-bottom:6px" align="left">
    <p align="center">
    <b>
    <font face="sans-serif" color="#0000CC">[WM-Field: Category noLink raw]</font></b></td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    <p align="center"></p>
    [WM-Record]<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%" id="table3">
    <tr>
    <td align="center" valign="top" width="8">&nbsp;</td>
    <td align="left" style="padding-left:10px; padding-right:3px; padding-top:6px; padding-bottom:6px">
    <font face="sans-serif" size="2" color="#0000FF"><b>[WM-Field: ProductName raw]</b></font><font face="sans-serif" size="2" color="#000080">
    </font><font face="sans-serif" size="2"> [WM-Field: ProductName noLink raw]. [WM-Field: Category noLink raw]. [WM-Field: Description noLink raw]
    </td>
    <td align="center" valign="top" width="7">&nbsp;</td>
    </tr>
    </table>[/WM-Record]
