    Thoughts from a NEWBIE
FOlks I am online all freakin day, and just like most of you have to weed through the mountain of krapola that is shoveled out there.

Yesterday I found this forum and thought what the heck I am anonomous and no one can get me if I ask a couple of totally stupid newbie questions.

So I did. Not expect much at all.

    WELL....

I got the most awesome offer for help from LIZ, whom I was able to talk to on the phone today. Not only was she REAL, she was REALly nice, REALly helpful, and one heck of a representative of the folks on this forum.

Now I may have my blinders on, but I actually have a good fellin 'bout this place.

Nobody screw it up for me. It is either Oz, or a really good case of denial.

Hi Craig, I knew I could do this before I found ABW, but it really helped lift me to the next level. Wish I'd found it sooner. There's a lot of stuff here, it's a huge place, but there's gems to be found and they're a lot more common than any where else.

    Hey Craig,

Like you, we're all 'online all freakin day,' too and ABW is a habit you'll become addicted to overnight.
Welcome ... have a seat on the couch and join the ABW experience. You'll learn more than you can imagine plus gain a whole new set of pals in the process.

Nobody screw it up for me.

    Craig[/QUOTE]

LOL! - nobody's gonna screw it up for you intentionally but take everything you read here for what it is. If someone jumps on you for something you say, consider the source, decide if maybe you said something totally stupid or brush it off and forge on ... everyone's opinion matters, your input is invaluable and we are real people, just like your family - sometimes we disagree, sometimes we need to be knocked off our pity pots, sometimes we need encouragement, sometimes advice. You'll find it all here.

LOL LOL Sandra. I suspect I've chased away a few noobs in my short time here too. Mostly because they weren't playing nice and they deserved to be spanked.

    Rexanne,

Thanks kiddo for you comments. This is going to be fun.... I gain I am kind of new at this side of the game. My site is rockin along pretty good. I hit two really cool records this week with adsense, so we were doing the happy dance.

I am in the music biz by trade but because of what I do, if I gig twice a month I am really busy. So I have some time to learn all of this stuff.

I am just about to realease two books and am hoping to light things up with affiliate sales.

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

Yet another music biz member ... ABW seems to attract them. :-)

What do you play Craig? I'm a music supervisor when I get out of this chair and not working my sites. Love it but hate working with film directors who think they have ears. They're as bad as the lawyers running record labels. I also place songs but not working publishing, just freelance but I take whatever publishing I can get.

Believe it or not, after spending 3.5 years in Japan as a Sumo Wrestler, I was one of the first to have Gastric Bypass Surgery, 9 years ago. After losing about 200lbs, I decided to chase my dream and launched three 19 piece Big Bands. I have 1 setup based here in Dallas, one in Tokyo, and the last one based in London.

We do very non-traditional Big Band. Last CD we took Steppenwolf's "Born to be Wild" and threw 21 pieces and re-scored the bridge to make it into a James Bond chase feel. You can hear a sample or two at cdbaby.com/bigt/

So I am basically self-unemployed now. My main home focus now is working with the folks who on the Gastric Bypass journey. Love to have you stop by my site and see the before and after pics.

I guess being an EX-sumo wrestler, means I USED to be "Seriously cool"

Sumo was seriously one of coolest things I ever did. Tha Japanese were the most unbelieveable hosts as well.

Since I have one of my bands set up over there now, I get to go back a couple of times a year. I just freakin' love it.

Thanks for the kind works though..... Hey I should run an affiliate contest for my cd... CDbaby has an affiliate program.....

Maybe since 20% of the CD goes to two really cool charities, we could punt around a couple of ideas for rasing some cash for all sides, and cleaning out my garage from the last CD printing run.....

    LOL ..
Be carefull of that sandra woman,
if you get on the wrong side of her....

also .. i went to tokyo once,
it was great, though bloody not cheap.
not that it mattered, the girlfriend i had at the time wouldnt
let me pay for anything .
her father was the director of a coffee company.
"Key coffee" i dont know if you heard of them.
Anyway, i was going on trips to mount fuji ,
doing this doing that, everytime we went to a hotel
my girlfriend just said something in japanesse ,
    and it was fixed.
i stayed in a nice hotel in yokohama on 57th floor
and i always remember another hotel , it was shaped like a
    slice of water-melon.
also what i noticed was it was very clean.
I bet you had a great time as a sumo.
they give them lots of respect

    Hi Graig

Welcome to ABW. I only just say this thread, You were a sumo wrestler that is awesome. I like watching that sport.

You have a nice site. All your gastric bypass information brought back memories of my last job, I used to work in a hospital collecting stats on people who had gastric bypass surgery.

And here I thought I was the ONLY person who enjoyed Sumo Wrestling. I first started watching it during the Olympics, when I was really young. I think my mother seriously thought I had a defect because I spent hours following the competition.

Haven't a clue why I like it so much, but I do!

Either way, it's lovely to meet you Craig :-)
