    Can RSS feeds Block AdSense
I'm trying to rationalize in my head why this is happening. I have a content site that I run adsense on. I have the exact same block of adsense code on each webpage.

As an added bonus for my readers, and let's be frank, added content for me, I publish RSS feeds on related content from around the web.

The IMAGE ONLY google ads I use as banners on the site work just fine on the RSS pages. However, the Text ads (not adlinks, regular text) are blank on pages where I serve RSS from CERTAIN publishers.

I realize that some RSS feeds aren't supposed to be used for "commercial purposes", and I always honor those requests, but they can't program an RSS feed to kill AdSense on a page, can they?

Maybe these rss feeds are using adsense for feeds themsevles. Maybe that could cause some kind of clash ?

I had thought about that, but these feeds don't appear to.

RSS shouldn't have anything to do with your AdSense ads. If your ads are on a regular HTML page the RSS link is only that.. a link. Now if you're trying to display AdSense ads from within your RSS feed, that's probably not going to work. I don't think Google has an ad that will run from within an RSS feed. I know Yahoo has an RSS ad, but they only let you run it on a couple platforms, so it's still very new.

I've had issues with adsene showing properly on some of my mambo sites, although I don't beleive its related to rss. If your using it on your mambo/joomla sites it may be something to do with that ...

Could well be. Are you creating your own custom modules or using Joomlasense?

I only have one site that is the official Joomla release and that doesn't have adsense on it. My other mambo sites I tried some adsense modules but they didn't work right so I just created my own custom module and they seem to be o.k. If I remember correctly I had to deactivate any text editors (in mambots) and just use none to have it save the javascript properly.

But I don't have rss feeds on those sites. If you haven't done it yet you should check out the mamboserver forums or joomla forums.

Noth, Can you expand on what you mean by this? I have just started publishing a feed on one of my sites. Are you saying that when I do this that it's available to be republished by other folks in their feeds? I know I'm missing something here.

Yes, if they can find the URL to do so. Or if you submit it to Synic8 or Technorati or a service such as that.

I submitted it to Yahoo which probably counts. I'll have to learn more about this. My problem is that I enjoy learning new stuff way more than implementing it. Thats not the most productive way to be.
