    Need an merchant! outdoors related
i just created a new site (www.largemouthbasstips.com still under construction) and would like to add 1 sole affiliate that i can trust and work with to promote on my site. this one affiliate should have a 'good' selection of fishing/outdoor equipment. if you want it done through linkshare/CJ/ or whatever i dont mind.

2 reasons why i am asking this:

    1. You guys on this forum are awesome and id rather support YOU than just signing up with any old company that has poor customer service.

    2. Instead of just posting 'buy this' all over my site i want to actually 'sell' the product, and thats where YOU come in . i want to add a "product reviews" section on my site and have your product at the bottom of the page for sale. Now i cant make reviews for all your products so im hoping YOU/ YOUR COMPANY can get me a review. A review doesnt have to be complex. but we can talk more about that in private.

let me know if theirs any takers!

in comparing my site to others in my nich mine has a good chance of competing with some of the top bass fishing websites in time. and for me to have only one sole advertiser will be a great for your company!

ShareAsale (SAS) has a "make a page" generator where brief descriptions of the product(s) can be included.

As a newbie affiliate of SAS I can tell you that you have to fiddle with that for a while. I usually say I want to see 5 products down and 1 across (otherwise it has the capability of creating an entire page of products)
and then I look to see what came up (I could debate on precision)
but I've taken some products and placed them in my blog to start -- I plan to use more and to put them in "regular pages" of my site(s)

See if there is a company in SAS
    CJ sometimes will provide

Your request is a bit ambiguous because it can be read 2 ways:
are you looking for an affiliate to co-work with you on your site?
Or are you looking for a company where you can be its affiliate?

    Good luck

rhia. your the type who keeps on giving info! god bless ya

sorry. im looking for a MERCHANT, not an affiliate.

the info im looking for is a slight bit more deeper than a description.
but rhia you DID give me an awesome idea just by reading your post.
A brief description could work... hmmm.... about that "make a page" generator, is that a data feed or does it output something like a php script or javascript script to put in your webpage?

Can you edit your post? Say you are looking for an AM (Affiliate Merchant)
If I were you I'd join CJ (their keyword search for products & advertisers/merchants used to be excellent -- not always anymore but still ...)

    Go to the SAS forum
Ask if there are any outdoor/fishing AMs
Join SAS *if* they have outdoor gear merchants, otherwise you might be wasting your time

"make a page" generator, is that a data feed or does it output something like a php script or javascript script to put in your webpage?

you input some details you are looking for in the form & you specify how many products you would like, what size, length of description etc...
you could make a page with the info that "spits out"
it's like product links - static ones
I look for the one (or more) I want & then just copy the relevant html code
they offer CSS but it clashes with mine

You need to find some merchants that fit and then email them - they don't trawl here looking for affiliates to support.

    zibzer,

There are several programs on ShareASale that might fit what you are looking for ... I ran a search for the word "Fish" just as a first look and came up with several that might fit including those that provide datafeeds, etc... The other things, such as product reviews, etc.. you would need to negotiate with the merchant directly. If you have specific questions about ShareASale please let me know directly or via PM here at ABW and I will respond.
    Thanks,

For Bass Fishing, probably the obvious first-stop would be Bass Pro Shops on CJ. I don't much care for their program, but their stats are quite good according to CJ (EPC is high). So might be a good first stop to try.

Speaking of them what happened to their feed? Last I looked they didn't offer product links.

There's another merchant at SAS called LandBigFish. I was going to promote them about a year ago (I think...time goes so fast), but they were low funds or off line as I recall. Not sure if they have gone autodeposit yet, and quite frankly, I'm not in the mood to go look right now... (lol)

I know they have a datafeed, though.
