I think I know the answer but would love to hear it from those in the know!
Does it make a difference in loading time if you crunch the image before you put it on your page or can you just resize the image? There must be a difference,otherwise why would there be programs to crunch them.
This curious mind would like to know.
Stay tuned for more dumb questions LOL
Oops! almost forgot another one. What is the html to make your page hug the top of the window?
Thanks

Cazzie,

Yes, optimization of the image does much more to speed up the page load time than just resizing the image.

<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Do you mean ...

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">body onblur="self.focus();"</pre>

to make sure a window remains in focus and on top?

Cazzie,

Or do you mean ...

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">on Load="moveTo(0,0);"</pre>

to make move the window automatically move to X0,Y0 (upper left)?

Or do you mean:
<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">
BODY BGCOLOR="#ffffff" topmargin="0" bottommargin="0" leftmargin="0" rightmargin="0"</pre>

My favourite program for optimizing images (gif's & jpg's) is Ulead Smartsaver Pro.

If I remember correctly, Ulead recently joined CJ, so if you wanted to buy it, you could get the software and a commission

I use Image Ready 3.0 that comes with Photoshop 6.0. It does an excellent work in optimizing images and GIF animation work.
