    Most Important Piece of Info
Okay, here is the million dollar question from an advertiser to its potential publishers:

What are the most important pieces of information you want from an advertiser before you host their offer?

The reason why I ask is because I'm looking to reach out to new potential publishers interested in Movies and DVDs and I want to know what's most important to them.

    Thanks,
    Jordan

Nothing means anything unless you get paid. Past that, there is no one thing, you need to have many things. Good site, good offer, good percent, good cookies, no parasites, etc, etc.

Lucky for us, we don't have to make our choice based on one stat.

Good clean datafeed (that is free to affiliates) to use that is kept up to date.

I like to know whether or not the merchant offers direct product links.

I've signed with some "new" (i.e. new to me in networks other than CJ & LS) merchants but when I find that they don't offer the product links I had expected I lose interest in the merchants.

If I can't link to an individual product, I don't use the program.

Well, what if it's not a product, but a service that pays on a CPL basis?

How does a merchant offer direct product linking?
I was under the impression that it was up to the affiliate to create the links - what am I missing?

Does a datafeed provide this ability, or is it something else a merchant needs to set up?

The affiliate can only generate direct product links if the merchant makes them available.

Ummm. Ok. But how? Do I need to sign up as an affiliate to see how this works?

If a merchant doesn't supply a feed with link/info for all of their products, then they can setup links to specific products or pages on their site. Those would be considered direct product links.
