Scott Richter buys bb.org for $20,000.
Our pal from OptIMyArse just paid $20,000 for bb.org.

I wonder what he's going to use that for?

Maybe he wants to assimilate us. Resistance is futile.

pir.org manages the .ORG top-level domain (TLD):
    http://pir.org/AboutPIR/AboutPIR.aspx
    http://pir.org/AboutOrg/AboutOrg.aspx

    What Richter knows is...
+anyone can use a .org domain, it is NOT restricted to nonprofits or anything...
+most people today assume .org is noncommercial

"I wonder what he's going to use that for?"
I bet the intention is to wear sheep's clothing.

It's obviously another investment by this wank to exploit web surfers. Maybe a Adware/Spyware drive-by download site for those trying to type bbb.org into their browser

Maybe he's setting up a stupidity money trap like the folks at www.freedownloadHQ.com charging upto $52.00 to download IE7.0 or Firefox and a slew of other branded freebees. Go Google "freedownloadhq" and prove idiots are duped every minute by cyber con-men like Richter... sample ... http://www.bruppert.com/storypage.php?sid=47

I think Mike may have got it - I think it DOES get visits from people trying to get to bbb.org in a hurry.

I could buy some really great domains with an extra 20K, maybe a dozen really good ones. Seems like a waste, myself. But, perhaps he's attempting to relive the dot com bust, or something.

I understood that Richter had cleaned up his act. Spamhaus even removed him from the ROKSO list of spammers.

I wouldn't underestimate him though - I think he's a pretty smart cookie. Perhaps he'll learn to use his talents for good rather than evil?

Innovative advertising with Slimeware Corporation and Telephore. Mail-order fuel with Petrol Direct.

I wonder what BB will stand for?

    Buying Buddy?
Bubba Buddy? ( toolbar for for Redneck shoppers )
    Better Busts?
    Bigger Busts?
    Bouncy Busts?

Why, the possibilities are nearly endless. Errr, okay.
