    How come Commision King is member #258, when at the time I am typing this, there are only #256 registered members?

    Also, Commission King, that was one wierd way to get a heap of posts in so that you can get more 's

    I was sitting here trying to think of a difference a drew a blank..must be the crazy heat (it's damn near summer here).

    Oh, Haiko.
    I sent a few emails off the other day to CJ and one of their big name merchants about a select few of the merchant's links (approx 1/2 are for another product) not tracking.
    CJ never responded, but the merchant did saying "we thought the same thing, we'll get back to you early next week".
    I'm not going to name the merchant just yet because I don't want to create unnecessary panic (and possibly hurt the merchant for a mistake.. if it was one)
    But depending on the merchant response, I might send you an email asking for some directions on how best to handle this subject for all concerned.. There will be a *lot* of affiliates that may be affected by this one.

    I just had to say this.

    A while ago I e-mailed expedia.co (a few weeks before they extended their cookies) and received a reply that was not very forthcoming and full of cr*p.

    I mailed Haiko and asked him what I should write (I am not to good with words) and he very kindly wrote a beautiful piece for me that as you know now, resulted in them extending their cookies to 14 days(from 1 day).

    If anyone can get a merchant to see sense Haiko is the man.

    I do not think that this is a network-wide error.
    I'm thinking that it is a problem at the merchant end, but until I get some more information... it could go either way.

    It is my believe that the CJ tracking is working.

    I also have another request sent at the same time to linkshare and one of their merchants.

    my CR's for one merchant at LS are
    August: 4 %
    Sept: 2.9%
    Oct: 0.12%

    Aug & Sept are ok, but with targetted traffic trippling during OCT, and the CR falling by 95.86%...seemed a little odd to me, and LS has replied and they are looking into it.

    The CJ merchant is a different story.
