    [Poll]Birthday Party or Bikini Babe?
One male's sister will be having a birthday party and would like her beloved brother to come.

The beloved brother's girlfriend (a bikini babe) has vacation time scheduled during that time and would like the male to take a vacation with her in Florida.

    Decisions, decisions, decisions!

    What should the male do?

    • Stick around town so he doesn't miss his sister's birthday
    • Go to Florida for a week with his bikini babe girlfriend and forget about his sister
    • Invite the hot girlfriend to the birthday party and cancel the rendezvous to Florida
    • Go to Florida with the hot girlfriend and bring back a t-shirt for his sister

Brother doesn't live in the same town but it's a fairly easy commute.

The birthday is on a Saturday (and a special event in Florida) -- there would be a conflict -- but your post would otherwise be a good solution

Assuming that the folks in question are both adults, and at the risk of sounding mean, I think the big boy should act like a big boy and skip the birthday thing. Birthdays are for people who are still young enough to say "and a half" when people ask them how old they are.

Good grief. Is there any question? Of course, he should go to Florida.

A t-shirt seems a bit cheap, though, if there could be hard feelings and he can afford Florida. Think jewelry for sis and give bikini babe a t-shirt. Sis will, no doubt, be around longer so is a better investment.

If you really want him to be there, reschedule your party to a time when he doesn't have other plans.

If it was me I would be in Florida with the babe but I would give my sister a gift certificate for a vacation to anywhere she wanted to go.

Go to Florida, your sis'll get over the disappointment (faster if you bring back a decent gift).

But, I disagree that CC's assertion that "Birthdays are for people who are still young enough to say "and a half" when people ask them how old they are."
Birthdays are for anyone who still knows how to have fun! If you're too old to have fun, you're too old...not necessarily physically, but mentally.

Even so, I'd go with FL. Sis can go ahead have fun without bro. Family members usually exaggerate the "vast" importance of their relatives' presence at their events

Isn't it Dr. Seuss month or something?
