    Will PartnerCentric Buy you dinner?
Did anyone get this or something similar?
PartnerCentric wants to buy you dinner! We're not talking about just a burger and fries, but a $25 gift certificate to use at a participating Restaurant.com partner in your neighborhood!

Has anyone participated in one of these surveys before for a gift certificate to a restaurant? Did you actually get the certificate?

The questions were relatively straight forward and targeted to an equally beneficial relationship between the merchant and the affiliate plus there were blank CGI boxes so the affiliate could write more details.

At the end the survey asks for your name, your e-mail, and your zipcode.
Does the zipcode the affiliate writes down affect the choice of restaurants?

you probably get to pick a participating restaurant. I've tested the discount restaurant gift ctfs via a link through amazon.com. they work.

It's an automatic find/replace (set up in the board software).

Really? Hmmm, shame. Of course, that could also create some interesting legal issues for those wishing to innocently post P-artnerCentric as a legitimate question.

I'm not joking; I'm 99.999% sure it's going through the find/replace thing, kind of like when eBates was set to post with that German character in place of the B...

    I'll test now...

    FartnerCentric

Yep, it happened immediately--nobody could edit that fast. It's automated.

So I take it that P-artnerCentric doesn't have a good relationship with this forum?

Or does P-artnerCentric engage in some questionable practices?

Regardless of any circumstances, it is a shame to pre-edit a member's post to such that it implies a derogatory meaning, thus the possible legal implications. Just a thought.

P-artnercentric has some affiliate managers who could stand a brushing up on the industry, but any AM firm has that. I do well with some of their programs and have for some time now.
They were the only AM or AM firm who sent me a gift at Christmas.

They targeted me through 2 of my CJ merchants.
Are they trying to lure me away from CJ?

If P-artnercentric really pays attention to the suggestions I made in that survey, they might develop a good program.

I think it's stupid for this board to automatically change the word partner
I just hope it's not broadcast via RSS and Feedburner

Edit: I filled out this survey in good faith.

    >I'm not sure about the legal meanings

From the Forum Rules - "Messages posted to this board are solely the opinion and responsibility of the person posting the message."

Therefor, Rhia7 is responsible for an altered version of her post as there is no "edited by" notice.

Also from the Rules, "Posts containing ~ offending content will be removed and may get you banned immediately."

Therefor, could Rhia7 be banned for content she did in fact not post?

    Hmmm, interesting. I'll shutup now.

How can the misspelling of P-artnercentric be my responsibility if I didn't know about the automatic edit?

I'll say this: it sure is a stupid function to have on the board

Bet ya there's lots of viewers reading this thread and whooping it up

Legal implications ... oh I've got that covered (the libelous "disertation" she made) ... what a short memory we all have.

    Yes the change is automatic.

No, I don't approve of the Farters.

Exactly! But as there is no notice of the automotic edit, no-one would know and assume you meant to post the fartnercentric.

    (I'm on your side Rhia)
Besides, I said I would shutup.

With respect Haiko, that is off topic and doesn't affect the legal issue of auto-edits.

Hey, at least this has become a hot thread (too bad it was based on sophmoric humor but what the heck )

While this thread is in the spotlight I'll bring up another topic: whatever happened to the "Active User Function?"

The Active User link/function needs to be turned back on for two reasons: it assists in finding threads and it staves off boredom.

The P-artnercentric re-write should be turned off -- makes a dumb misquote
