    Looking for competent hosting
I have been battling my incompetent host all day. We fixed some issues with our site and apparently started using up too much CPU usage with them so they shut our site down. Not only will they not work with us to resolve the issue, they are being (*^)*) about bringing the site back up so we can fix it.

Does anyone know of a good, knowledgable hosting company that can support ASP and MS SQL. Not too expensive and offers unlimited bandwidth.

I looking now and appreciate any help. I would like to do this immediately so our site can come back up ASAP!

    Thanks!
    B

Please email me with suggestions. I'm looking at one right now, sent them my site stats to see what they recommend.

I have MS SQL and a server (converted pc w/ Win XP Pro and Server2003 options) but not enough smarts yet to host myself. Would need a faster than broadband connection.

Feeling more than a little ticked here about the whole deal.

You could name the host name as long as you don't post an affiliate url.

Just say, "XYZ Corp" is a good host.

Try fluidhosting.com for Windows and MS SQL webhosting.

3 years with little if any downtime and when their system goes down... you get a refund on your monthly hosting fee.

Alexbet, the graphics god, is also an asp developer - I'd go ask him.

DesignerWiz here at ABW also would be a good person to contact on this I bet.

Here's a few quick names ... I can come up with others if you need a compiled listing. This list is not based on "unlimited bandwidth" ... but all around performance for our business clients.

    Both Thumbs Up List:

    RackSpace.com
    NextMill.net

Low Volume History Records (clients) - So Far So Good:

    1planhost.com
    stormhosts.com

    I hope this helps you.

You can try prohostfirm.com too. It's very cheap and could be paid with ecurrency if you dont have ccard

    prohost,

sounds like a promotional plug...why did you change your signature? U Had the link right there? At least you buy space at the planet.

Read what they were asking for ASP....your on linux homie can you run ASP? My SQL is not MS SQL and when you browse your site using firefox the babe at the top left has a big space between her eyes...actually here head is cut in half right between the eyes.

I'm guessing that it has to do with the way the contact us link displays try defining the font or enlarging the table from 780 to 800...just a guess

    The REAL INFO

I started writing some points of what I learned setting up my hosting but I can boil it down to a few

you get what you pay for, check the connection speeds and know who sells the host space.

anyone with multiple domains should look into reseller or vps accounts (if not dedicated servers) and single domain owners may be better of with self referrals to some of the hosting coms offering commission. Great places to research host are hosthideout(on the com) and webhostingtalk (also com)
