Yep, I've been using SiteAdvisor for a couple of weeks now. It's been surprising (or not) how many top sites in search engine results give me a "red" status (I love how it integrates into the results).

Ben Edelman is one of their technical advisors, for those that don't know. That's how I found out about it, through an article on his site.

That is a wonderful tool for all AM's, merchants and affiliates to clearly see the sleazebags right within the SERP and PPCSE results. Quick and effective OUTING alert system www.siteadvisor.com Works with all Windows versions and it installed right into my Google toolbar.

Rexanne you'll be amazed how it even alerts surfers to sites who spam as well as do the nasty on you with hidden bundled installs. The Phishing sites sure pop a red button alert too.!

It's great. My site's clean and green I'm checking my aff links now to make sure they're all clean, too. LOL - This will be going out to all my newsletter readers and site subscribers. I'd suggest everyone plug it to their visitors, too.

Are any of you techies out there able to tell me if this site queries this information around taking up band width when it is installed on your system?

Looks like a great resource, and I've checked everything of mine and am green, green, green!!! I just want to make sure it won't do anything weird if I actually have it installed to see it in the search results.

    Thanks,
    Sheri

    Way cool product!

I have it installed now. My sites that have been visited by siteadvisor are green. Others are in the que but I have faith they will be green.

I have the link posted on one of my blogs and on one site so far.

I agreed, spread the word about this product!

    Thanks for sharing

Impressed to start with, but nearly everything is green? I put what I thought were some dodgy search terms into Google expecting reds to come up, but they're as rare as hen's teeth.

Does this mean that maybe the web isn't as scary a place as we maybe thought? Even maybe - shock horror - that crap stats aren't the fault of scummy b**tards, but an ineffective site?

    The plot thickens......

I've done a little testing with this also and found that searching for downloads of all sorts (music, mp3, screensavers, etc) does give the most red.

No matter what I search for, guess where I see the most RED.....

    In the adwords!
In the sponsers, top and right.

Those are the big budgeted Super affiliates and network SEO/SEM teams at work milking the BHO infestation route to double dip merchant advertisers. Yes I said the networks data mine and use the success secrets to pound our cookies ...while beating the shopper over the head with a BHO hammer.

plenty, yes. but where to start is the question.

to start first with known rogue sites may be logical. then which ones are next?

just curious how my all-green sites with all-green links got included in their beta version.

was it the amount of traffic? perceived branding? just being an affiliate site (i'm sure there are hundreds of thousands), or what have ya?
