Buy.com SmartZones broken?

I'm totally green when it comes to CJ, so this could easily be something I'm doing wrong.
When I locate a product from Buy.com on CJ, and I try to add it to a SmartZone, I get a very nondescript error. Basically it just says an error occurred, we logged it, go piss up a flagpole.
I've been e-mailing back and forth with CJ about it but the turnaround time on their support tickets is 3 days and I could grow old trying to get this sorted out.
I'd greatly appreciate any advise or help that anyone here could offer.

Smartzones have been jacked up since last September after an upgrade. Didn't even know you could do products with smartzones, always used them for banners.
