Q--How many work with those big-and-tops?
Could you tell me whether you put your ads on those big-and-top websites, TOP XXX ranked by Alexa?

I'm not sure which kinds of sites you mean (?)

Not all of us have respect for Alexa rankings. (it is possible to raise the ranking of your site, for instance, by having the Alexa toolbar on your computer and then clicking on your site constantly)

I put ads on Yahoo, Google etc. via Adwords, Overture, ads alongside searches.

Not sure that's what you mean.

Effect is good if you have the skills.
Or, you can lose a lot of money.

It depends on a lot of things: Your bids, your site, and if people actually want what you're selling. It usually takes practice to make money with PPC bidding. Once you learn it, it can work very well.

    Hi, Leader
Thank you very much for your note.

Hope it won't cost too much for me to have all the practice to have a good job in PPC bidding.

It will cost you a lot if you do not do your homework first. Read all you can about PPC bidding and only then bid. Also, if you do not want to loose much money, bid carefully (read: not a "million" of keywords at once, but adding new keywords step by step, day by day, monitoring the performance of those already added, deleting the ones that do not convert, etc, etc)... One of my best affiliates in FJB's program uses PPC only (as far as I can see from their referral urls). So, obviously, when done properly, it does convert.

But again: before you start, read all you can about it (to avoid those icebergs that are hidden under the smooth and seemingly calm water of PPC bidding )

    Hi, Ging,

are you still with the same company? are you going to try to use PPC on behalf of your company?

    Hi, Geno

Thank you very much for your suggestion, and indeed I have been making up my knowledge of PPC by doing a lot of reading, studying and thinking homework.

Any my conclusion is still haze expect that such kind of advertisement is crazily amazing and I am still not ready for it

    Herb ԿԬ,
Yes, I am still with the same company and I am planning to consider PPC, but not finally decided yet.

That's a secret and nobody tells, but just keep participating and it will happen soon enough.

    Ging:
I'm not ready for PPC yet.

You might consider joining Google Analytics now and using the charts for ideas. It is not necessary to use PPC yet.

Google Analytics requires one identical piece of code on each page of your site and returns much data about your visitors and their habits. It can be confusing.

    See:
    http://www.google.com/analytics/#utm...=embedded-text

It is available in several Oriental languages, also . . .

They do not automatically approve applicants; you may have to go on a waiting list.

For you to sign up for Google Analytics. You will need a gmail email account.
See if any of your friends will give you a gmail account.

Nope, I got mine without having a Gmail account. I was on the waitinglist for about a month, than the offer came in. On a side note, I was lucky to spot it a my Yahoo mail put the email from G. straight in the spam folder...

    Cool
I joined Google Analytics early-on in order to establish some history in their database. Was able to put a lot of sites in there before they stopped admitting new sites. Still waiting to put more in there.

    Google Analytics
When Google first offered Google Analytics for free it came with 50 profiles, now it is only allowing 5 profiles per account. Unless you are spending $$$$ for Adwords.

they didn't tell me that, just that they weren't making any more room lately . . . I have eleven domains in there. And can't see using it for much yet as there is a definite delay in reporting.
