    Tool King Left?
I don't remember an email, I don't remember the AM saying anything about it, I do see a thread that they're at Avantlink. Are they anywhere else? I am glad you left. They're starting to go, ToolKing, Petco, Kabloom, Swanson Vitamins etc.

As the previous AM I can tell you the it took a long time to make the divorce from LS. You should have received an email if you were an affiliate with ToolKing at LS late last week. Look for another annoucement soon.

    Tool King Affiliate Program
    Hello All,

The email Linkshare sent out was confussing, so I will clarify. As most of you already know our program has been discontinued with Linkshare.com. We will be moving to another network, Commission Junction shortly(less than 1 week). You can also check us out on Avantlink.com, which we recently launched. All affiliates that earned a commission in the months of October and November will be taken care of. We would very much like to see all you in our new program. All of our affiliate will receive a newsletter regarding the move in a few days. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact us.

That's more on LS, although the merchants will get the heat from affiliates, little more on that here:

    http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread...702#post536702

Unless Linkshare wants to post here they don't do that sort of thing to outgoing merchants. I would like to hear Linkshare's side on that. The same day, 1 day notice deals. What if a merchant while still at LS gives their affiliates a few weeks or months notice that they're leaving the network. I would like to hear from LS what they do, if the merchants did that.

This is another merchant playing the dualing networks game. Join a small network that is parasite-free and also one of the major networks so they can play with every creepy crawly in the book.
This program was cleaned up not too long ago. Now we have a new AM and I bet that within six months at CJ their program will have parasites in it again.

Want a bit of advice Brian? Find a network and stick with it. There are too many tracking issues with dual platforms. Parasites in the CJ program will feast on the traffic of those in the AvantLink program, yet the AvantLink program is billed as parasite-free when it is NOT, as long as they are in your program at other affiliate networks you use.

Affiliates are getting hip to this and we don't like it. By using AvantLink as a secondary platform on which to reach affiliates who are concerned about parasites, you are only cheapening the AvantLink network.

Gotta disagree with you a little. I don't have a problem with merchants opening up their program at more than one place. The parasites were cleaned out and you're assuming they'll be let back in. Right now they're clean as far as I know.

"Want a bit of advice Brian? Find a network and stick with it."

Normally I would agree, except for merchants at LS. Avant or CJ vs. LS. I'll pick the CJ/Avant combo. Seems you're getting mad at a clean merchant that left LS. Don't see anything wrong with that.

    Trust,
I am not getting mad at anyone. I am only stating that I think they will not remain parasite-free once in CJ. Whether this is a conscious decision or whether it happens as a result of a parasite slipping in undetected does not matter. The end result is the same.
In the best case sceario, the new AM must now spend a lot of time screening affiliates if his desire is to remain clean.
I have seen instances here lately of parasites being in a merchant's program and the merchant being totally unaware of it because the parasite was very clever at getting in.

Time will tell but there are parasite free merchants at CJ. There are merchants at ABW who are at CJ and parasite free. Just because you're at CJ, doesn't make you infested. And right now they're clean, and if someone slides in I'm sure they will boot them if in fact they plan on staying parasite free.

Brian I recommend that you manually approve all CJ affiliates. Here is a tool that works in FireFox that we are using: http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/ebates.com

It is not perfect but can save you a lot of searching.
